Jacob, known as 'Africa's most resilient lion,' has survived countless dangers, earning the nickname 'lion with nine lives.' This ten-year-old lion from Uganda's Queen Elizabeth National Park has cheated death numerous times: he survived being gored by a buffalo, the poisoning of his family, and being caught in a poacher's snare, which resulted in the loss of one of his hind legs. Despite these hardships, Jacob recently made headlines for an incredible feat: he swam 1.5 km across the Kazinga Channel, filled with hippos and Nile crocodiles, alongside his brother Tibu. This is the longest recorded swim by lions, showcasing Jacob's extraordinary resilience.
